The Art of Transition: From Revitalization to Hidden Magic

A heartfelt reflection, looking back at where we've been and peering into the fantasy of what's coming next. Thank you for embracing my particular brand of weird and for walking this path with me. You are the ultimate Dreamers.

I am so incredibly proud of the reception to my Revitalization collection that I’m struggling to find the right words to fully express my appreciation. Painting an entire series of works in a scant three months was a massive undertaking, especially when balancing the delicate ecosystem of life outside the studio.

Between dedicating time to the gallery, consulting, and the irreplaceable hours spent winding down with my family, life is beautifully full. All of these endeavors are deeply important to me; in fact, I couldn’t create the art I do without the inspiration they provide. But they do require time, and every hour given to the world is one less hour spent at the easel.

Because of that intense push, I have to admit I was incredibly nervous about diving straight into a brand-new collection, especially with the Revitalization pieces finding such a warm, successful home. It felt daunting to pivot so quickly, particularly when the themes and subjects are worlds apart.

Where Revitalization was anchored in the glory of reality, accentuating the small, overlooked pieces of perfection that surround us every day, this new collection steps through a different door entirely. Instead of anchoring into the tangible, I’m exploring fantasy. I want to look at how magic might be hidden around every mundane corner, waiting for us to notice it.

Stepping away from the familiar layout of reality made me hesitate. But you all encouraged me. Through your kind words, notes, and shared enthusiasm, you inspired me to keep pushing forward, sometimes without even realizing you were doing it. You gave me the creative courage to make the leap.

Thank you. Thank you so much for embracing and celebrating my particular brand of weird. Thank you for walking with me through this thematic shift, and for patiently reading my introspective ramblings as I work through the philosophy behind what I’m creating.

Thank you for being exactly who you are. Thank you for being Dreamers, and for supporting this journey every step of the way. I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you, and I promise to keep creating work that inspires your brightest dreams.
