Fantastic Reality
As a painter, I try to bring that wonder to the canvas. As a dreamer, I’m looking for it everywhere I go. I want to invite you to do the same today. Put on a new set of eyes, look for the magic in your own little corner of the world, and then let’s talk about it.

My Dear Dreamers,
I’ve been thinking lately about the idea of "Fantastic Reality" and what it truly means in our everyday lives. We live in a world that is at once ordinary and delightfully beautiful—full of mundane miracles that often slip by us completely unnoticed. To embrace a fantastic reality is to slow down and intentionally search for the small pieces of magic hidden within the mundane.
As I move through my little corner of the world, I try to keep my eyes and mind open to these secrets. They might be as simple as the perfect pattern on a pansy in a grocery store, or the way light plays off the leaves to reveal the "fay" hidden in the shadows. This isn't always as easy as it sounds; it requires patience and a willingness to occasionally frustrate those waiting on you while you linger. That said, our world is a truly astonishing place when you slow down to look for its secrets.
When I sit down to create a new painting, I see it as my mission to fill the canvas with a piece of the wonder I see all around me. I hope that my work helps others find a sense of peace in their own lives—and perhaps even inspires them to take a closer look at their own surroundings to find the magic waiting there.
If you’ve read this far, I hope you’re willing to go a step further. Take some time today to explore your world with a fresh set of eyes. Slow down and look for your own fantastic reality, then come back and tell me about it. Perhaps if we share these dreams, we’ll all find a new sense of inspiration.
I can’t wait to hear from you.
Yours sincerely, David
